Samagra Portal is an initiative of the Madhya Pradesh State Government to offer several online as well as offline services to its residents. The idea behind the portal is to provide a variety of welfare schemes, financial services, and facilities to the residents with a particular focus on –

  • underprivileged (below poverty line)
  • senior citizens
  • children
  • widows
  • disabled
  • women

This scheme offers Financial inclusion, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), state and central schemes, and is referred to as Samagra Samajik Suraksha Mission (SSSM).

What is Samagra Id?

The state government of Madhya Pradesh and the department of SSSM (Samagra Samajik Suraksha Mission) provide free login IDs and passwords for its residents to register themselves and avail the government benefits.

And, the individuals, once registered, cannot alter their unique Samagra ID codes in any case.

Types of SAMAGRA IDs

There are two types of Samagra IDs that operate on the principle of 'Bahujan Hitay Bahujan Sukhaya':

1. Family ID - This unique and permanent 8-digit family ID will serve as your family’s Samagra identity in the government records.

2. Member ID - This 9-digit unique and permanent ID is issued to the individuals whose family already has the Samagra family ID.

What is the Eligibility Criteria?

The SSSM is a Madhya Pradesh Government initiative – so, to apply for it, the person needs to be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh. This person also needs to have a domicile certificate and address proof to validate her/his identity.

If you do not live in this state or you do not have a resident proof, you cannot apply for the Samagra ID.

How to apply?

The Samagra ID can be easily created through online or offline modes. Here is how you can apply –

Food Security

The underprivileged people of the state who have limited to no access to basic facilities like food, water, and shelter have access to various government initiatives to lead a better life. Some of the schemes under this policy:

  • BPL Families Registration & Management System
  • Annapurna Scheme / Ration / Food Safety Act

NREGA Payment

The residents entitled to NREGA (National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) can receive their payments directly through this portal. They can also avail employment opportunities available at the nearby location.

Higher Education Samagra Scholarship Portal

The MP government provides the scholarship schemes for educating students of financially weaker sections of the society. Through this portal, the students can apply and also check the status of their scholarships.

Insurance Coverage

The Madhya Pradesh government offers various insurance schemes for low-income people like the Aam Aadmi Insurance Scheme to safeguard the interest of their families, in case of any unfortunate event.
