I was looking for an oximeter which does not come with complicated instructions and then came across this. It’s very simple to use and is compact, so fits anywhere.

1. What is a pulse oximeter?

A pulse oximeter is a small, lightweight device that monitors the amount of oxygen transmitted into the body. These small devices are the convenient and painless methods of keeping a track of arterial oxygen saturation and heart rate.

2. How does a pulse oximeter work?

A pulse oximeter just needs to be clipped on to your fingertip. The probe passes two types of light through the finger – infrared and red. These are transmitted from the probe through the body and into a light detector on the other side. If the hemoglobin is saturated with oxygen then it will absorb more of the infrared light and if there is less oxygen then more of the red light will be absorbed. This is converted into a digital value which is displayed on the pulse oximeter’s screen.

3. Does the device measure blood pressure?

No, this Pulse Oximeter helps measure SPO2 and Pulse Rate.

4. How do I clean/sterilize the device?

Clean the device with a slightly moistened cloth and store in a dry location away from direct sunlight.
