Problems in walking and performing daily activities that require mobility can be problematic for people who are have limited mobility (temporarily or permanently). This includes people who are injured and need time to heal their wounds and individuals (such as the elderly) who are unable to walk about as freely and easily as they used to because of the degenerative changes occurring in their body. These changes may lead to lower bone density and knee osteoarthritis; conditions that make them dependent on their family members, friends, or other caregivers for their daily routine tasks.
