Description

English translation of the Bengali biography "Sri Aurobindo: Jeebon O Jog", the book is written by Promode Kumar Sen. Sri Aurobindo was a scholar, a literary critic, a philosopher, a revolutionary, a poet, and a yogi. Born on 15 August 1872 in Kolkata, he spent the initial part of his life, fighting for the basic rights of humanity (for his countrymen). The book talks about the later part of his life where the aim of his sadhana was for India and the entire mankind to gain the right to divinity. The author tried to explain why Sri Aurobindo had retired from politics and immersed himself in sadhana at Pondicherry.
